About PCProfile

A desktop gaming PC setup

PCProfile is a free PC game compatibility checker. It helps players answer a single practical question – “can my computer run this game, and how well?” – without installing anything or creating an account.

What the site does

The tool takes the graphics card, processor and memory in your PC and compares them against a game’s official minimum and recommended system requirements. It returns a settings tier and an estimated frame-rate range so you can judge whether a game is worth buying for your current hardware, or whether an upgrade is needed first. Every game page also lists the full published requirements side by side, so the underlying figures are always visible.

How results are produced

Game requirements are taken from the figures published by each game’s developer or its store page, and the source is linked on every game page. Hardware is ranked using a transparent relative-performance index across recent desktop graphics cards and processors. The settings-tier verdict is the dependable part of the result; the frame-rate number is an estimate, presented as a range and labelled as such, because actual performance varies with drivers, resolution, screen settings and the rest of a system’s configuration. The estimates are guidance, not laboratory benchmarks.

Editorial approach

Coverage is written in plain, neutral language and is kept up to date as new games and hardware arrive. The aim is to be genuinely useful to someone standing in a store page deciding whether to click buy. Game names, system requirements and trademarks referenced on the site are the property of their respective publishers and are used only to describe compatibility.
